Our illness, our body's weakness, does not and should not define us! We are sick, suffering individuals, yes, but that does not mean we are not brave. On the contrary, even on our worst days, when we cannot get out of bed because of the pain, and fatigue, If we fall asleep that night, despite knowing we will have to face it all again the next day, without giving up the fignt and 'ending it all' we are not only brave but in my book LEGENDARY!

A couple of weeks ago someone commented on one of my posts talking about my struggle with long covid. It was a Christian brother who felt the need to call me to the mat for making my illness the center of my life and for focusing on the negative and not Jesus.

I’ll be honest, it stuck in my craw and here is why.

I cannot help but wonder has this person ever commented on a friend's post complaining about their sports team losing and said “you’re making your team the center of your world instead of Jesus”
